Trade Promotion-A

Functions of the Division

Handling of Market Access Initiative (MAI) proposals relating to overseas events of Indian Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO).
Work related to setting up of World Class Integrated Exhibition cum Convention Centre (IECC).
Setting up of Exhibition cum Convention centres in States.
Formulation of Government Policy regarding Trade Fairs and Exhibitions.
Approval of the programme of the India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) for overseas fairs/exhibitions participation.
Government sanctions on matters relating to trade fairs.
Processing other requirements of ITPO for which Govt. help may be needed.
Handling matters of appointment/confirmation of Chief Executives of ITPO.
Handling matters of deputation/tour abroad of the Chief Executives of ITPO.
Handling VIP references, Grievances, RTI Matters, Parliament Questions and other Parliamentary matters.
Laying of Annual reports in r/o ITPO on the table of both houses of Parliament.
